NOCC's Olympic Education Women's Equality in Sport Benefits SEA Games

PHNOM PENH: Empowering women in sports through the "Olympic Education and Women's Equality Seminar" organized by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) throughout the day to female students as way to spread the word about the journey to host the 2023 SEA-ASEAN Para Games.

Trainer of NOCC Workshop, Bouy Sophorn, said that the program lasted all day. In the morning, many experts gave a presentation on education, Olympic values, along with the campaign to organize and host the 2023 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games after submission from the leadership of the National Organizing Committee for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games 2023 (CAMSOC). The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) has joined the Royal Government in promoting the dissemination of this national campaign to host the Kingdom of Cambodia's first historic sports event.

He added that at the same time, the NOCC Annual Important Program also featured keynote speakers who won Cambodia's first Asian Games gold medal in 2014, Sorn Seavmey and Zhou Sotheara, former SEA Games gold medalists in the wrestling category. The organizers brought all female participants to play badminton, with the NOCC collaborating with the Badminton Federation of Cambodia to provide national coaches and badminton players with technical support. He added he will continue to support more women to participate in sports and support the process of preparing for the 2023 SEA-ASEAN Para Games.

Doeun Reaksa, a 7B1 student at Wat Dambok Khpos Secondary School thinks that badminton is easy to play and she used to play badminton and football. But playing in such an event is the first time, and she claims that this kind of gathering is not only fun, but also to gain a lot of knowledge from the Olympic spirit and knowledge to host the SEA Games. - ASEAN Para Games 2023 together.

Meanwhile, another student called Lay Liza said that she was very tired in this badminton match, but she had a lot of fun with her classmates as well as sharing experiences and knowledge from many sports experts: "If there is another program like this, I will continue to participate."
